Alwyn Cosgrove is one of the most in-demand and exciting coaches, writers and speakers in the fitness industry today. He currently spends his time lecturing, teaching, training and writing and as the owner of Results Fitness in Santa Clarita, CA.
Walt Ker, UCLA Assistant Men’s Volleyball Coach begins his second season as the Bruins' Volunteer Assistant Coach after serving in the same capacity during UCLA's championship run in 2006. Ker has extensive experience coaching volleyball in the Southland. He started the men's program at Cal State Northridge in 1976 and coached the CSUN men until 1984. During that time, he also began coaching the CSUN women's team, guiding the Matadors to five NCAA Division II runner-up finishes and three championships, in 15 years.
Kaili Kimura, a standout at Cal Sate Los Angeles, was named to California Collegiate Athletic Association Conference teams all four years. In 1994 and 1995, she was selected to the AVCA all-Region teams, and in 1994 earned CoSIDA Academic all-District. When she finished playing she etched her name in the school's top five in career kills, hitting percentage and blocks. Following her collegiate career Kaili has performed with both BVA and AVP tours.
Nabil Mardini has led the Pierce College Brahmas for the past eight seasons. In this time they have risen from last place in the conference, to their first Western State Conference title in 2001and a streak of seven straight titles through 2007. In 2006 coached his team to a 27-5 record and a runner-up finish at the state championship. Throughout his career at Pierce College, Nabil has been named the Western State Conference (South) Coach of the Year in 2001, 2004, and 2006, while the Brahmas have collected an impressive record of 144 wins to 30 losses.
Nabil has served as the director of the Santa Monica Beach Club for the past eleven years helping coach the SMBC boys 17-under team to a gold medal at the Junior Nationals in 1998. Nabil had a successful career as a member of his hometown semi-professional club team, "Club Relevement Social Knat and played two years for Santa Monica College, gaining MVP honors.
Jill Changaris Muhe is a former Professional Beach Volleyball player, competing for seven years on the AVP tour. She currently serves as an assistant women’s volleyball coach at Oxnard College. Jill also serves as the Head Athletic Trainer at Oxnard College. Her education includes a BS degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Biomechanics from UC Davis and a MBA with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of La Verne. Jill's experience includes working as an Athletic Trainer at Disneyland, Pierce College, Mission College and UC Davis.
James Park is the former Cal Lutheran Women’s Volleyball Head Coach, and is currently the head Girl’s Volleyball coach at Thousand Oaks HS.
Monica Trainer started her coaching career at UC Riverside in 1985. After completing her collegiate career at San Jose State in 1980, she was drafted by the San Jose Diablos of the International Volleyball Association. A year later, she embarked upon a three-year European semi-pro career, playing for teams in Italy and Switzerland. She also played one year for the USA pro team, the Jazz. Since 1978, Trainer has instructed at many summer camps, working extensively in the US and overseas. In 1995, Trainer coached a team for Sports for Understanding which competed in Italy. She is a ten-time USAV All-America selection and a member of the USAV Seniors national championship team in 1990, 1993 (2 divisions), 1994, 1999 (2 divisions), 2000 and 2002. In 2003 Monica received the AFLAC National Assistant Coach of the Year Award. |
